Bear in mind that is slightly downhill.... So traction and acceleration would be advanced.

yes, mines the same if I launch it, that particular cav belongs to a guy called Linco, who used to go on the CTOR, as far as I know its been stripped down in bits in his lockup for about 6 or 7 yrs now, don't know if it will ever see the light of day again, Ads

It doesn't sound standard to me.
Re: Are all cav turbos quick off the start like this ?
Actually doesnt look as quick as they can be, you can launch them better than that but it does take some practise to get it just right. I'd guess thats probably at least phase 2 power so about 240-260bhp.

It was phase two with large intercooler, and I think it was RRd at round about 250 bhp, so Dan you are spot on mate, AdsTurboDan wrote:Actually doesnt look as quick as they can be, you can launch them better than that but it does take some practise to get it just right. Hmm. Tempted to ditch the cesaro and use a 4x4 shell as the base for my bttc rep

Well all i can say is if youve never driven one then you will be very suprised at how differant they feel compared to a normal cav. Totally differant drive.

totally agree with Dan. ive had allsorts of cav, and the cav t brings it to another level, AdsTurboDan wrote:Well all i can say is if youve never driven one then you will be very suprised at how differant they feel compared to a normal cav. Totally differant drive.

4x4 Saps loads of power so doesn't feel massively fast. 300 to 400 bhp is what you need

As a completely standard car they are not that amazing, but even as standard still feel so much better to drive than a normal cav.
BUT get yourself a Locked transfer box and up the power to 260-300bhp and you have an awesome car that will take on most cars on the road these days.

Not really a pain, you only have to remove the inlet manifold which contains a million breather hoses to get to 3 spark plugs.
And to remove the radiator, it's a case of removing the entire front end to get to the circulation pump...

Removing the inlet for the spark plugs is such a bad design.

Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately that's the result of making massive engines as compact as possible for FWD configuration.....
