Sunvisor with mirror light

Post by Lowrider Dave »

What Cavs came with sun visors that had inbuilt lights round the mirror?
or
What can I transplant into the cav to have this feature - any plug and play VX items?

My V6 is a CDX but doesn't have them. I'm watching a pair on Fleabay and wondered how hard it would be to add them. Looks like they plug in.

My V6 is just the V6 model and it has the lights on the sunvisor, also has lights on the rear grab handles.

GLS Got them :D
When i got my latest Cav my mirror lights didnt work... The conector on the live had snapped... simples repair :D
They are so easy to wire in!!! goes to the interior light, 2 wires,
1 from Perm live (should be the chunky red one)
1 to earth/negative (I think its brown in all vaux)

I had to get some piggy back connectors and done!!!
Never had a problem since :D

P.S. Mike... They are on both sides :D

V6 GLS with manual windows and no sunroof would prob of been an ex police car.

My old SRi was an ex CiD car.

Have a pair in the shed, stump up the postage and a can of coke and you can have em.

I can certainly say my Ethos has em. Can't recall if it's on both sides, or just passenger only.

On a related note, where the hell can I get replacement plastic clips that hold the visor in place when folded away? Mine self-destructed years back, never got around to replacing them.

Just seen this post, I'm quite sure I don't have illuminated grab handles. The only light I have is the interior light which annoys me as I can't manually switch it off - I need to upgrade this but don't have a clue where to start - Omega? Also have to work out how to add the illuminated sunvisors :)
