help for bumper modification

Post by kimi sri »

Does anyone know what's involved in the modifications to make a saloon rear bumper fit a hatch?

think it has to be cut shortened and plastic welded back together.

Several people have done it before at home...
Need a hatchback black plastic bit...
Seperate the saloon black bit from the skin.
Then you need to put the saloon skin on the hatch black bit,
Cut the saloon skin down.
Best way is carefully cut the edge bits off that go under the arch
Then trim away down to the hatch black bit and plastic weld the edges back on...
Filler, paint, enjoy :)

Was going to do it to mine just never got around to it...
