BOOT LOCKS
BOOT LOCKS
yesterday my boot lid decided it wasnt going to open, big problem for me as im using it for work for a while and big heavy boxes dont go in the side door easy, im desperate to get this fixed asap, ive sprayes the key hole with wd40 but no use, the key wont turn at all the slot is in the vertical position so not sure if its in open or locked position, and the central locking wont open it either, any ideas and if it needs a new lock has anyone got a cheep one, im hoping i can get the car to last till may with out spending on it as i think thats when it dies

Vertical is locked fully. Central locking will only open it if it's horizontal. Work the barrel some more, failing that you could go through from behind and remove it, although it is a bit of a palavermk4rhys wrote:yesterday my boot lid decided it wasnt going to open, big problem for me as im using it for work for a while and big heavy boxes dont go in the side door easy, im desperate to get this fixed asap, ive sprayes the key hole with wd40 but no use, the key wont turn at all the slot is in the vertical position so not sure if its in open or locked position, and the central locking wont open it either, any ideas and if it needs a new lock has anyone got a cheep one, im hoping i can get the car to last till may with out spending on it as i think thats when it dies

Re: BOOT LOCKS
Fixed it, had to do it from inside, was a little rusty on back of lock, loads of wd40 did the trick, dont know how long it will last tho,
