I wrote about Yanayaya's Diamond Black Cavalier Turbo 4x4 for the April 2014 issue of Retro Cars magazine.
"Allan Kendall's enthusiasm for Vauxhall's turbocharged, four wheel-drive Mk3 Cavalier has seen him transform a neglected Scottish street racer into an Ibiza-bound Diamond Black beauty."

As many of you will already know, Allan's Cavalier Turbo 4x4 was recently immortalised as a 1:43 scale model in Corgi's 'Vanguards' collection. How cool is that?!

"Conscious of the Sierra Cosworth’s success, Vauxhall launched a high performance four-wheel-drive version of the Cavalier in 1992. Well-equipped, but subtle and discreet, it was not as overtly sporting as the Cosworth but matched its pace and traction whilst undercutting Ford’s market leader by several thousand pounds. However, it never sold as well as expected, perhaps because it was a later addition to the market and had no motor sport pedigree. Rare today, the example modelled here is owned by Allan Kendall from Aberdeen and has spent its entire life in Scotland. Allan has carried out comprehensive restoration work since acquiring it in 2005 including undoing some poorly executed performance modifications."
