Cav mk3 Rear Wheel Bearing Change

Post by fontayne56 »

What sort of job is it to change a rear wheel bearing Is it the whole hub which needs changing or is it just the bearing . Any pointers would be a help. O asked for the bearing at my local parts plsce and they had trouble finding it. Has anyone got a picture or a link to one . Cheers Ryan

Not changed a rear myself but I have seen rear wheel bearing kits on eBay for around a fiver! (nearly had a set as a spare)!
Or take the bearings out and get the numbers off them and visit a bearing supplier for them and a new seal

Drums are the tapered bearing.

Simple to change. Just dont over tighten when you fit your new one.

Turns out if you have ABS you need the whole hub :( £75.00 from local spares and the £30.00 on ebay ... i think i might walk for a few days.

Many Thanks
