hi all could anyone tell me what the switch is on the left hand side of the auto shift lever, its got a snow flake on it, thanks

think its for pulling away in snow and ice to reduce tyre slip , but im sure someone with an auto can confirm.

It basically locks the box up in 3rd to allow pulling away when you have reduced traction as Gaz said above :).
Check the Rules!

Yep as said,
It is the snow / ice button for driving in slippery conditions

Also as said, it makes the auto box lock in 3rd gear to reduce wheel-spin on taking up drive from standstill.

lol i must admit, it does sound fairly odd, but having an auto myself, i'm obviously not surprised. :)
