Hi All
I am fairly new to this Cavalier owning lark having only got mine 2 weeks ago (after a 20 year absence).
The second job i want done is the timing belt (after sorting the rust), but where ever i look i am getting multiple options - the ones i can fine at my local motorfactors say they fit the C18nz but then reference an engine fitment of TO ENG. 14142838 or FROM ENG. 14254439 - neither of which look like my engine number!
Does anyone have a clue what is the correct one to get?

What Timing Belt?
Re: What Timing Belt?
There are only two real options, based upon the tooth profile of your camshaft sprocket.
Either square or rounded.
Are you looking at swapping the tensioner and waterpump at the same time.?
If it helps, you could private message (pm) your VIN and / or reg plate to me, and I will check it against the EPC catalogue.
VIN is usually better, but not all cars are recognised.

Re: What Timing Belt?
Yes will do the lot, no idea when it was last done so might as well do it properly

Please see updated post...
Re: What Timing Belt?
The VIN was not recognised, but the registration plate was.
You were missing a "0" after the W0L.....
4 door saloon built at Luton in 1993. (87P)
Timing Belt C18NZ
Part number was
90 411 770
Replaced with 90 530 286
Replaced with 9 128 725
It is the "later" belt as filted to cars from L reg onwards.
(1993 model year onwards)
The first two digits of the engine number is the factory identifier.
So yours is made in a different factory to those quoted in the auto factors books. - listing is a Holdens made engine.
And GLS trim specification.
Regards,
Rob.
