Yes, pretty much (I think you mean the B204R), providing you have the right mounts etc. I've seen them installed in SRis, facelift SRis etc. I

My stock response to this is to consider the B207R instead. Mega tunable, and not the scrapyard-spec that most are built to. The B207R is easily supercharged too.

You'll hear loads of Vauxhall owners saying, 'yeah, but the B204R can do 500bhp easy and only costs £300'.

Find me a Vauxhall powered by a B204R that is producing 500bhp and I'll eat double the number of hats that Paddy Ashdown consumed on election night.

Incidentally, the B207R is a door stop compared to the boat anchor that is a B204R.

What's your budget? You can buy a brand new B207R from Neo Bros for second-hand C20LET money.

Thanks for all your comments

If I go for b204 from a Saab 9-3 is it the same gear box I'd use? First time will be doing a conversion so any help comments would be helpful

Cheers

my advice... get a manual for both cars to aide with wiring... Dont expect it to be easy...
Plan each step of the job and dont take short cuts....

Always solder joints in wires as spade connectors can cause sensor faults (know this from my Punto powered Cinquecento)
I would also try and at least service the engine before dropping it in...

perfect time to paint the block though :)

Do it right, do it once :)

b204 drops straight in and you can use a saab box or a f20 or f28 or a f23. read my build thread for more information
