Exhaust help please

Post by Jimbo1 »

Sorry if this is in the wrong section

I have just bought a new project in the form of a 1993 sri 8v 130 saloon.

Im having trouble finding an exhaust back box?

All of the listings i can find are for the 115 bhp model!

Will this fit ok?

The previous owner has fitted a rather nasty back box that needs to go.

Any help would be greatly a appreciated

Thanks

James

I believe it uses the same back box - further guidance required!
I got my replacement from Vauxhall, good price and it fitted fine.

Yeah the 115bhp box should fit fine. Shame it wasn't a hatchback I have a nearly new backbox sat in the shed.

It will fit but it's not the same back box as the original SRi.

The SRi had a bigger oval shaped exhaust.

It's quite hard to find decent photos but I believe this has the original SRi exhaust fitted:

Also if you go to exactly 3:00 in this video you get quite a good look at it:

I sent Genuine parts search an email and they do have 20SEH back boxes available. They are £28.64 each. I'd get one of those if I were you.

They didn't give me the part numbers so just give them a ring if you haven't already bought one.

They usually get things out next day too - I vote very highly of them.
