My Capri

Post by FoxyCav »

Well i thought id put these up again from the old forum, as it may be the last time i get to take any pics of the old girl.
I really dont want to sell her and its upsetting me, but shes hardly being used at the moment.

anyway here she is for everyone who hasnt seen her.

Very nice. I all ways think of The Professionals with Bodie and Doyle when I see a Capri.

lol your like me Mark, ive had numerous emails and pms off the Capri Power people telling me not to do it. The bloke was giving me £1,700 for her but even at that price i cant do it. Im going to store her at my auntys and slowly get her sorted i think(not that she need s alot). The poor bloke is gonna kill me when he rings, but she is like part of the family, and was my dads

of sentimenal value ,
its part of the family and a little bit of history as well , there's a big following of any classic ford so either way its an investment ..when the time comes to sell her

das laser! bodywork looks good. my dream garage includes a brooklands capri, along with a sierra rs500 and a mk4 escort xr3i standard. obviously they would be heavily outnumbered by griffins, but there is the odd ford that tickles the fancy now and again (although im struggling to think of one since 1988!!)

awww, my dream garage would also have a Brooklands in it, but the Tickfords are getting even rarer now. sadly over the weekend heard of one bloke who spent 30k getting a nut and bolt resto on his Tickford, only to have his Perana have an electrical fire and whoosh the whole lot are gone :cry Hes devastated, said he wouldnt get another Capri now, it would be too hard. They do become part of the family and you do get attached to them, its why its been such a struggle trying to decided what to do with her. I could do with the money , dont get me wrong, but sometimes there are more important things than money. I remember how utterly devastated i was about my old Capri and regretted it every single day.

Sooooooooooo shes staying lol. I just need to save some dosh up for the minor cosmetic work that needs doing.

She's looking really good foxy, not seen a Capri in the condition for years. I don't blame you for not wanting to get rid of her.
Keep us updated with progress on her. :) :)
