Before I start stripping her down, new sills and inner arches, other than that shes sweet.

love the ealry white SRIs mate was my first car an H-reg SRI hatch

They are great cars, this is in suprisingly good shape for a 21 year old motor, all original

fixing the 8V, stripping the 16V to put into a 1995 mint shell

Nice one I think It's brilliant your saving her m8 they are so rare I wish I could have saved mine but she was like a teabag but her engine and bits live on in my envoy.

from what I have seen so far, small plate in nearside arch required and upon removal of the skirt 1/5 of the sill has gone from the rear end, purchased full sills but will patch up want to retain as much of the original sill as possible.

Will replace the two O/S doors too as they are dented, then into the paint shop in the spring, will be ready for her 21st Birthday

That's in much better condition than mine was I had hardly any metal just rust lol.

New sills and wheel arches arrived today, but weather crap again so the car is back under cover.

These are very rare now, thanks to the goverments scrappage scheme. If restored will be worth a bob or too in a few years, there is something about the prefacelift SRi I really like. Got a genunie Irmscher inlet and exhaust manifold along with a piper race cam with venier pully, these might be fitted one day but got fuel pipes, CV joints, wishbones and undersealing to do then its ready for MOT. More pics to follow......
