In between the rain I've managed to get a few bits removed, side interior sill covers, bits of dashboard, switches, trim, door and boot seals, amongst other bits. Takes a lot longer than I anticipated, still got more to take out by the end of tomorrow.

A few pics to show roughly what's still available:

Managed to remove both rear quarter light windows intact. Easier than I thought, definitely worth keeping hold of.

I know mate but it's life. I don't really have a choice at the moment, but if funds allow I'm getting another one next year... Can't keep me tied down to one vehicle!

111600 roughly. Still had a lot of life left in the engine, but loads of niggly faults elsewhere.

Been telling myself that for a number of years buddy... But it's not that, it's people not paying people for jobs on time, that's what screws us up. At the end of the day we all make sacrifices..

Unfortunately it would have. Would have needed tax, MOT soon, new exhaust, nothing I can't handle myself BUT finance is the bottom line with these things. Rather than keeping it and using money on insurance when I'm not driving it, I'd rather get something back, and at least have some spares to play with or sell on. It is what it is.. Tell you what though, if that auto could speak, it wouldn't half tell some stories we'd been through!!!

Aye, I can sympathise with the finances issue been there myself.
Hopefully you get as much as you could have out of it though.

Car will be collected either tomorrow or Tuesday, I've got a quote, just need to arrange a time.

Stripped some more parts off today, I will start a thread in For Sale once I've gone through and sorted everything. On the plus side at least I've got an easy way of getting rid of those early bumpers

Sorry to note the position here Andrei. That, with Pete's Dippy, there won't be many SW Cavs at next years Beaulieu at this rate. :(

I have a bit of a shopping list for my '94 1.8i LS Auto : -

Drivers seat - bolster is shot on mine after 205k miles. I think that your trim may be the same as mine from previous photo.

Radiator cooling fan motor.

Grey/yellow fuse link wire.

Can we talk?

Cheers.

I thought you had a Diplomat? In any case I can help you with the radiator fan, it works fine, I can pop it off, 2 second job, if it's just the motor you need, I can separate the unit. As for the fuse link wire, not 100% sure what you mean there? I can remove my driver's seat but the cloth is ripped on one of the bolsters. The main seat integrity is fine, it doesn't sag anywhere.

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for your reply - yep, still have the Dip - the 1.8LSi is the London Bumper car that never dies! You may remember the story from when we first met at Cadnam a couple of years back, that I was looking for a seat for the 1.8 and ended up buying the Dippy instead, but no seat.

However, I have actually replaced it recently, but not in the same material, so I was hoping that yours would be a "perfect" replacement.

The Radiator Cooling Fan motor is secured by two bolts at the top, it then slants backwards and lifts out after unplugging it. They do vary from model to model, but hopefully it will be compatable. Mines a Bosch. It may be as well to leave it on its plastic surround housing.

The Link Wire is found in the fuse box to the right of the steering wheel column; they act as a bridge for Rear Fog lights, but maybe 342 didn't have one.

Cheers again.

Brian.

I see, well I can hang onto the fan motor and the fuse wire, the seat I can hold on to, if we get another Southern meet going at some point as it will be too bulky to post..

By the way it's Andrei
