Just picked up my 2nd Cavalier for £175 well happy, Was up on ebay for £195 locally was going to get it for the seats and that and scrap it...but far too good for that. going to give it a good clean out (dog hair) and clean the engine bay as its been covered in grease. Drives very nice love how the engine sounds too not bad performance aswell for a 1.6.

Will get some more pics tomorrow after a good clean down :thumb

A few pics after a service & a quick wash. Was thinking about getting the front and rear bumpers colour coded, Just the grey inserts. What do you guys think?

Im well pleased with it. Super clean & the engine runs spot on. Just need to de grease the engine bay really. :thumb

The GSI. Rear lights look better as well :thumb Just need to detango them.

Looks much better with those SRi hubcaps and GSi rear lights really suit it.

keep the bumpers original though, don't see many of them about now. Get some AutoGlym bumper and trim gel to darken them up if your not happy with them. :thumb

It runs fine, Sounds really good a bit like an old rally car :lol:

Quick update to show off a few parts ive been buying and to show my bumpers now they have been colour coded also had 4x new tyres fitted today Avon ZV3s, Going to be fitting my cam belt, water pump & thermostat soon as well as top mounts and front shocks.

I've seen the boot trays in sales brochures. I think they were a dealer fit option, probably very rare so great find there matey! :thumb

It doesn't have a part number on it anywhere by any chance?

Yeah, I found out about it on Vauxhall EPC, Got it from genuinepartsearch dont think they have any left now.

Quick update, Just taxed the car again for 6 months. Spent a bit on the cav this last month renewing bits.

New bottem arms and roll bar links tryed to find geniune but no luck. Found 2 GM rear shocks from GPS along with a full GM exhaust system, Plus new bonnet cable, Front brake pads.

Found a new old stock steering wheel on ebay which feels really good, Just want to renew the handbrake and gearstick gaiters next :p

Part Numbers:

90448071 Exhaust gasket for front pipe to center
93192639 Brake pad kit.
Engine code. 16sv

Some of the parts may fit other models.
