Update:

This weekend i decided to do what i was told by a couple of fellas on here by cleaning out breather hoses, throttle body and the ICV with carb cleaner. The difference when driver her after cleaning was very noticeable.

Image

Throttle intake looking so much cleaner than before.

Image

The ICV had a good clear out it really needed it.

And thanks to Lowrider Dave i managed to get the owners club decal on.

Good work. Cleaning the throttle body on any Vauxhall engine seems to make a massive differance.

Nice work Adam, if you have any more issues with the ICV give me a shout and I will send you a link to a guy who sells Omega bits which fit the 2 litre Cav and come with a guarantee.

Good work thou buddy :thumb
Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Depends really. Chrome would be a bit too blingy, maybe gun-metal grey or stainless steel silver would look nice.

Not very happy today my exhaust manifold is blowing again so i have been going around garages getting quotes to sort out two studs that have corroded away and have snaped off. I'm hoping i will get it sorted before the 1st of next month for the south meet.

Take a good stud out and measure the depth in the head. As long as you don't go any deeper you'll be ok

Exhaust manifold sorted again not perfect but it will do for now till i get some more funds. I want to get the mechanical bits done first before i start spending money on fancy stuff like wheels, suspension ect and sorting out those damn wing mirrors

Always worth the effort in my opinion. A filthy engine bay might as well be forgotten about, but when everything is clean, it's so much better to work on/look at.
