Northern Meet - Post Billing (end of August maybe?)

Well, seeing as the Southerner's are showing us up no end.. is there anyone in the North who would be interested in a bit of a get together?

It'll give us a chance to finally put names to faces, have a good chat about anything really. Grab some lunch somewhere (no cardboard burgers though please... urgh..) and maybe go for a Cav photo shoot there after.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Well, I could say north of England, but that would exclude you Scottish lot now wouldn't it

Don't know if i'm way off your map here but how about this pub:

Its just at the side of the M62 next to the resoviour, they have a big seperate car park which is perfect for a meet, and they also welcome meets from car clubs as it says on the website.

Just a thought.

I always prefer the end of the month, so that there is some money in the bank..

Last years Northern Meets were quite poor,
with an average of only 2 1/2 Cavaliers in attendance

Two and a Half in Dukinfield
(mine being the half up on axle stands) in Dukinfield.
Gaz, TurboDan, Squig without his car and Me.

There was only two at Ferrybridge
EnvoyCDX and Me

Three at Matlock Bath
Gaz, Squig and Me.

The best I remember was about 3 or 4 years ago at the "Outside Inn" in Hattersley, at the end of the M67 motorway.
I couldn't attend, but believe about 6 attended.

It's a damn sight closer than cambridge and I don't have to leave Yorkshire so i won't need my shots, count me in.

2nd of September (Sunday) Meet up for around 11:30-12pm bit of a natter and get in for opening.
Have a pub lunch and a coke / lemonade and a natter

Bit more of a natter and some pictures, then a bit more of a natter / location hunt for more pictures.

I'll start a rolling list.

I thought you needed jabs to go INTO Yorkshire, not leave Yorkshire -

The MHRA website states that visitors to Yorkshire Land should consider the following treatments: -

Cav turbo will still be in pieces in September, but I'll come if my Belmont Sri with bits of a cav turbo on is classed as 'allowed'

You are welcome to attend in your Belmont...

I assume there will be other Vauxhalls there too, dependent upon whether Gary has finished his Cav, and if mine is still road worthy by then, in which case you may end up with a Corsa-C and a Vectra-C there too.

Just do not turn up in a Sierra or a Mondeo

(Sorry for swearing... we know Ford is a 4 letter word - lol)
