North West (and beyond...) RR day

Post by Squig »

Thought I'd make and effort and try and organise a Rolling Road day for us up in the North West...

Thinking late January at Whitegates Garage in Stockport.

Located at;
Unit 6/7
Oakfield Road
Davenport
Stockport
Cheshire
SK3 5SG
Image

Open to suggestions... will need to know numbers a few weeks before we descend upon them (see if we can get discount and maybe book the day so we can all get on).
If this goes ahead I'll post prices as soon as I know approximately how many cars will be going

agreed it's a trek for a RR day... but where is more central in the country?

Problem is at this moment its a pain as we are so spread about, stockport is off the m60 and easily acessable -plus being 10mins froms squigs house probably helps (and about 20 from mine)

Its pretty central in the country for including all the scotish members but its a million miles from anyone down south

as said by Gaz, it is a bit of a problem just now purely cause we are from all over, but the regulars on here are commited and im sure something could get arranged?

Well said... in fairness I don't mind driving to the south (relatives down there), but I am NOT driving in London again! Ever!
Also quite happy to travel up to scotland (driving through the lakes and into scotland is one of the most scenic drives I have ever done and I would love to do it again (please not Edinburgh though, almost as bad as London), but could be an idea to sort out some camping... could find some where for camping if travelling back on the same day is an issue for people, and Manchester's full of hotels too.

I was going to suggest if friend's want to come too and bring their motors, great, but, if we end up limited by time on the RR, may I suggest we prioritise club members first (not that I think this will happen, just don't want a massive turn out and cavmk3oc members to miss out)

if you want to come say so, if I get more than 5 inc myself I'll call whitegates and get the ball rolling.

So anyone who wants to come pop your name in a list and we'll see how we go... If you're not sure don't put your name down (oh and what are people prepared to pay for a RR day? cos I have no idea)
