It is a while since the last northern meet, just off the M62 between Leeds & Manchester.
My house before that, and Buxton before that.

It is a bad time of year for many due to cars being stored and / or SORNed for the winter.
Mine will be off the road until about March :cry

And some members no longer have a Cavalier.

The best meets these days are Santa Pod days or Billing - both in the summer.

Dude you live in Hawarden? I live in Ewloe :thumb I've been thinking about a North Wales meet but won't have a cav on the road until next year.

The north west is the worst place on here for meets. Just never been much interest around here. When i had my cav me, gaz, terry, squig and troy have had a few meet ups before now as were all local to each other.

The guys down south have great meets from the pics ive seen.

HAD good meets, everyone's bloody selling their motors now... Down here it's only me, Mike, Dave and Pete at the moment, and I think a couple of members who don't post regularly.

Cavaliers are dying out. Rust being the main issue, people like humbucker who wrap their cars up for winter will really be the only mint unwelded survivors. Others will be restorations and one offs like mine.
The daily cars will keep disappearing and people moving on to newer vehicles as manufactures intend

Not that many good cavaliers left now. Most still look good on top. I dont think my pre-facelift Expression is doing to bad. Turned 110k the other day and 23 years of been 3 owners daily car. Its going to need some welding around the fuel filler area in the next few years tho.

I think the main areas on cavalier that most people over look is, Fuel filler area under the arch. Scuttle area in the corners and the lower bulkhead lip just under the foam. Those areas can be really bad, Seen a few like this with 12 months mot.

I'll be up for a meet once mine is running again. Just need notice though as I work every weekend.
