Letterkenny valeting

Post by jw62 »

Just wondered if any members have bought spares from Letterkenny valeting, he appears to have quite a lot of interesting bit and bobs, and had been popping up a lot on the facebook page.

Are you an employee/friend of Letterkenny?

Hi I have just recently spoke to Eamon from Letterkenny as I needed some bits for my Cavalier GSI re-build that is in progress down at Retropower. As I work offshore it is easier for me to trawl the internet for bits we need.

Eamon seems to be a very genuine chap, I have yet to sort out how to pay him for the bits I require as he is in the Eurozone and we are using pounds.

Just thought I would ask the question if folk have dealt with him, as I can see me getting quite a few bits from him.

At the moment I am after a GSI or Turbo front grill and a rear inner boot panel trim, the black grooved one that fits around the lower boot mechanism and covers the whole back of the boot. Retropower unfortunately binned the old one as it was broken.

He seems to specialise in old Cavs and seeing they are coming more and more difficult to find.....None in scrappies in the north of Scotland, he might be a useful resource.

Many thanks for getting back to me chaps.

You can follow the build on the Retropower facebook page.......the shell was like swiss cheese when it was blasted,,,,,oh well in for a penny as they say.

Somebody has to keep these motoring Icons going.

Cheers Jamie

Yes Humbucker that was me trying to explain to Eamon what part of the car I needed, the red one in my main profile pick is my Cavalier GSI, My first Cav was a V6 manual saloon with the full GSI kit, I think the V6 has unfortunately gone to the big scrap yard in the sky, REG NO L819NSO can't find it on DVLA otherwise I would have tried to buy it back.

The red GSI used to be my brothers and I have had it for 13 years now, choice was to scrap it or fix it......no choice really fix it.....budget completely blown mind but Hey you only live once.

Handy McFall you being so close to get bits from Letterkenny, you don't come over to the UK often do you?

Cheers jamie

letterkenny valeting is 145mins from me, and i drove up there in my evo lol
cost me £70 to get there and home BUT they had morette headlights and i had to get them, but had loads of bits
im making a list to get back up again to finish the parts for my build

real good lads an easy to deal with, take sterling also, i had no yoyo's as my main person for yoyo's now closes on saturdays, no idea why
