Bulkhead soundproofing!

Took the lower half of the soundproofing off the SRIs bulkhead today and wow, Its super clean..but it was soaking wet and that cant be good.

Have you all checked yours?

You mean the exterior or interior? Exterior is always damp, it picks up water from wet roads and moisture from damp air. Bit like leaving a carpet outside during winter. On my old auto, I could physically rinse the bottom of it

Not a good idea, water + metal = you know what...

Yeah, The outside one. I bet some cavaliers have some really bad rot under that lot

At the last MOT my V6 picked up an advisory for corrosion on the bottom of the bulkhead. Dread to look at it now!

Removed all of mine years ago, as all others it was soaked.

ripped all mine off after i had to have the drivers side powersteering mount repaired due to the stuff.

Get it treated bud before you have to start having it welded!

I removed mine when I converted to xe from xev super clean under there but treated it to keep it that way too.

Likely it will already be screwed.

Have you tried looking at the bottom of the bulkhead from above the engine in a V6?

You can see it from the top, But not on the v6 haha
