hello ,i have just brought the 35k mile cdi that was on ebay ,going to collect it later today ,i also have a mk2 cav

well i collected it on friday ,the interior is stunning ,2 files of paperwork ,it drives like new,but does need 2 front wings ,2 rear arches ,and poss a drivers door ,i will be doing these as i get a chance to ,just taken it on a 120 mile drive ,didnt miss a beat

Awesome! :thumb I'm glad it's gone to a good home.

Bit of TLC to the bodywork and this will be as good as new.
Not sure if you'll find wings in the right colour so it may be best just to repair the old ones.
Look on Google and find some bodywork garages in your area and spend a day going around and getting quotes.

just replaced the thermostat so it now gets warm and i have a heater ,the old one was stuck open ,and the petrol pipe from the tank to pump as it was weeping fuel badly ,had a look around it ,the spare wheel looks brand new ,i steam cleaned the wheel arches at work ,there is some advantages to being a mechanic in a bus garage :cool

she went in for the dreaded mot last week ,and she passed with an advise on rear arches ,pin hole in back box ,and pin hole in cv gaitor ,now I have to find someone to do the rear arches

That looks lovely, well worth some tlc. Cars kept in this condition will only appreciate in value, not as much as a ford but there we go !
