Cav Gsi kerb lightd

Evening all my gsi drivers side kerb ligh won't work unless I open the passenger side door too! Any ideas what's wrong ?

Does the interior light come on? if not the the door switch is at fault, take it out give it a clean and retry.

Agreed,

There are only two wires to the kerb lights.

A red for 12 volts

And a grey wire from the door dip switch.

The fact that the light illuminates when the passenger door is open suggests that the light is getting a power feed.

So only the switched ground on the driver's side can be at fault.

Check you driver's door frame dip switch.

Corrosion or faulty return spring are the most likely culprits.
