Re: Remote central locking
I bought a kit off eBay for a about £12 for the bus and it's been fine. Has full closure facility too, along with boot solenoid trigger.

This was what I bought I think, cheap, but it has worked flawlessly for 6 months so far. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 1153695872

Re: Remote central locking
Instructions were poorly translated, but still easy enough to understand. Took about 20 minutes with a quick Google to check wire colours on the bus.

Re: Remote central locking
I red the how to on here for fitting the vectra b remote central locking how will the car get the signal from the key telling it to unlock if the cav hasn't got remote central locking ?
Re: Remote central locking
Is this a serious question? Even after reading the how to.

I was just wondering how the car picks up the signal from the key fob

The receiver is part of the Vectra control unit that you fit, as per the instructions.joe cavalier sri wrote:TurboDan wrote:Is this a serious question? Even after reading the how to.

Re: Remote central locking
Gnomes I think? When you press the button it releases the Gnomes and they run over to the car, sneak through the heater vents and unlock it, then run back to the remote ready for the next time. Batteries are not really batteries, but an agreed form of payment for the Gnomes.

Re: Remote central locking
I dont think the deadlocking ever worked properly using these. Was hit and miss.
