first thing, most simple, check the fuse in the dash panel, replace it just for the sake of it. If the connections for the fogs are already there, in the front bumper tucked away, then they should work. Could be a faulty switch. Obviously make sure you try them with sidelights or headlights on.
Hope this helps.
Andrei.

Your probably missing the small black relay 1cmx2cm out of the fuse box, it goes next to the other one for the back.

Hey, I myself have a GLS early 93,
Fitted the front fogs myself and a few things that need doing are...

The conectors behind the grill/lights are to be pluged into the fog light connectors,
You need a 20amp fuse in the slot circled in the below pic...
(i have a 15 atm... pic was taken when i was testing the switch)

You do NOT need a relay, the bridge wire is good enough.
BUT and most importantly!!!!

There is a master power cable that is NOT on the GLS models, this you will need to make yourself. i will try and find some info on it... might be a bit scetchy though.

EDIT: since you have a gsi bumper, it should have a black cable attached to it that doesnt seem to have a place to go,
there should be a main power plug by the passanger kick panel... goes there. will find a pic of the correct pin location

Try this post..it is covered in some detail here.

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2700

Goto page 2 especially, where I put a slightly clearer image up.

In essence though you will need.
The link wire OR a relay
(the relay will prevent the front fogs from coming on when the rears are turned off, but the link wire will allow them to come on regardless)
A fuse in position 13 as stated (20 amp -yellow).
a switch.

And the power feed from the big block in the passenger side footwell to the fog-lights at the front.

put a switch in the blank next to the rear foglight, just pry the blank out and insert the switch (its the one with the green light).

If you cant find a front one, just cut the plastic leg off the back of the switch on a rear one and use it in the front position.

Won't work without a switch...these are "ten a penny" from e-bay.

Remember that front fogs can only be legally used where weather conditions are such that visibilty is less than 100 yards.

Any other use of fog lights is illegal and should also be condemned to the CHAV fraternity...

I second that notion.
