Nothing super about them. Built to be overpriced show offs for people who have clearly lost the plot and are way beyond midlife crisis.

If we all had that attitude we still be in caves. We need to have things that push our limts. Or whats point of living. If know one built horseless carriages you wouldn't have yor cav. What advances built in these supercars today eventually gets built into the run of the mill cars in the future

Supercars often represent the very best in automotive engineering and much of what goes into their design filters down into the mass produced cars that the bulk of us drive. Same goes for F1 cars; it's no coincidence that since the diffuser storm of the Brawn GP season that every performance car now rolling off the production line seems to have a diffuser fitted. Dismiss supercars at your peril Andrei!

I'm sorry but Formula 1 is Formula 1, it's real racing end of.

Cars are for getting passengers from A to B, whether it's over asphalt or gravel or mud. Or preferably all 3. super cars, if they are so called that are pointless, ugly and bloody stupid. I ain't saying no more.

Built for people that can afford them, who might or might not have lost the plot, it doesn't matter really. If you can afford it then why not have it.
Your view is a blinkered one Andrei, and you make yourself look very silly when you continue this approach on a forum full of true motoring enthusiasts.

You have not quantified anything with this statement, it sounds like nothing more than a jealous rant? In fact, I don't recall you ever giving any justification for the slating you give them?

Surely Andrei, if you could afford a Cav GSi / SRi or even a Lotus Carlton youd buy one?

Compared to a basic run of the mill Cavalier, any of the above would be consdered "super"

I'd love a GSi, yes. they are not super cars though. What people call "supercars" are a bloody fantasy.... nothing more. I love older Vauxhalls and American classic muscle cars end of. Anything that's built to be 400 foot wide and made in italy ( sick of saying that fecking word) is a fecking joke!!!

Wow dude... wow... I'm not a fan of most Italian supercars (incidentally supercar is a term used most often to describe an ultra-high-end "exotic" automobile, whose performance is superior to that of its contemporaries. It has been defined specifically as "a very expensive, fast or powerful car"... Source en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercar) but that sir is a darkside responce if ever I heard one...
I'm going to have to ask for a reason.
