The greatest car restoration/project threads you've seen
One way or another we're pretty much all motor enthusiasts here, and many of us have our own car projects on the go. Naturally our eyes wander on to other people's project threads, for inspiration or just out of interest. So for the benefit of those of us who you think might be interested, this thread is dedicated to those restoration/project threads you've followed online that have really stood out from the rest. A kind of Hall of Fame for the very best of the best.
Include a title, a brief description, before and after (or current) photos showing the state of the project and finally a link to the original project thread.
I'll kick things off with a couple that I think are outstanding projects, I hope you enjoy flicking through them.
Project: Volvo 854 T5-R aka 'The Peril'
Description: "Designed to show what you can do with a Volvo that is a bit different to the route everyone else takes and also to have some fun along the way. Previous owner had driven the car without coolant!".

Project: Keith Robinson's Nova Turbo build
Description: "The base for this project is my 1983 1.2L with 13k on the clocks." Includes a brand new C20LET engine direct from Vauxhall, and a complete acid dip of the shell and all panels before paint. Lot's of effort has gone into this, the end result is stunning (not to mention stupidly quick!).

another great one here, thanks to envoy cdx for the link:
Project: Vauxhall Carlton GSi3000 12v
Description:
"I've just finished restoring a 1989 (G) Carlton GSi 3000 12 valve. Been restoring since 2003, then bought a new house in 2006 so it had to put on hold. I got back on the project at the beginning of this year and got the engine back in the car a few months ago. I've done what is basically a ground-up restoration, the bodywork-including the floor-has been totally re-built/welded/replaced/undersealed/sprayed. I've had all the running gear powder coated and spent a small fortune trying to get this girl to as original condition as is (for me) possible...with a few extras like Goodridge braded brake hoses, handbuilt full stainless-steel exhaust system, re-upholstered etc..."

Re: The greatest car restoration/project threads you've seen
For fear of duplicate threads appearing I thought I'd post the snaps here too. These are some of the pics I took when I was with the Mini last week. Thought it might give you a better look at the bonnet recess!Deeksin wrote:That dougies carbon mini with red top is awsome would change the bonnet tho!!!!
