No comment regarding those consoles, but while we're on the subject of retro game consoles, can anyone identify my retro hand-held console? :cool

Never seen a ghost, but I believe I have spotted once or twice something which I do not believe was a commercial or private aircraft..... I'm a keen observer, on a clear night I'm more than happy to stare up and see what I can see :D Love the documentaries and classified file programs, definitely would like to UFO hunt myself with a group some day.. :thumb Fascinating.

I'd take an educated guess that it was a can of special brew ;-)

Super Mario world
Yoshi's Island
Zelda A Link To The Past
Super Mario Kart
Donkey Kong Country
F-Zero
Super Star Wars
Mortal Kombat
Street Fighter 2
Pilotwings
Sim City
Super Metroid
Star Wing
Super Bomberman
Super Probotector
Mega Man 7

Just to name a few.

Too make good use of the ability to play usa and jap games I'd also suggest:

Super Mario RPG
Final Fantasy 2 and 3
EarthBound
Chrono Trigger
Civilization
Gradius III
Kirby's Dream Land 3

All great games that were not released in the UK

The SNES has a fantastic library of great games and is a great place to start collecting.

I thought you'd know James there's a few that I didn't know about, unfortunately the SNES won't be arriving until Monday but I got a famicon copy of Street fighter 2 cheaply and have a copy of Super Mario RPG on the way :D

Also because you've probably been through this yourself, do you know where a suitable sized battery holder could be found as I'll have to change it on Mario RPG

I love the zelda series, the first zelda game I played was Ocarina of Time on my uncles N64, I think I was like 11 and since I really hated spiders then I couldn't play it after seeing the big skulltula in the Deku tree

When it was re-realesed on the 3ds I didn't put it down until I completed the game, Spirit Tracks on the Ds was good aswell.

I think I'm up to dungeon 8 on the original game (3ds virtual console). Ive briefly played Majora's mask but didn't get that far  will have to get it when they finally release the 3ds remake!

I have to say that Ocarina of Time on the N64 I my favourite video game of all time.

It's just such an immersive experience with a great story and perfect controls. I got it for Christmas in 1998 it when it first came out, I was 6 years old and it was just one of those wow moments that I'll always remember.

Half Life Is another that really stands out for me.

I got four swords when they re-released it on 3ds as a download, I don't think I've properly played the single player although I used to play multi with a mate and his brother, although this always ended up as us fighting each other when we nearly completed the level

I've been looking for a link to the past but can't find one cheap enough :( also I think I was about 9 when i first played Ocarina of Time instead of 11 that I said before. I've completed the first game since last nigh aswellt :p

Ive also got Links Awakening to play when I put a new save battery in the cart, I've got my recently modded DMG to play it on :cool Image
The backlit screen didn't come out too well it looks better in person, black buttons and a new plastic screen on it aswell, i'm also painting the case at somepoint

Get a super game boy to play link's awakening on. It's much better on the big screen.

Well I got the SNES today and also had a couple of games thrown in which need a good clean! Only really played street fighter 2 but can't defeat vega :wall he's the 8th guy I'm fighting against and I've just entered battle 50 with him
