Re: There's nothing quite like the excitement of buying a ca
Picked it up today, long ol day, got back late, had a right headache trying to get the keys, but all's well that ends well. No pics as it was dark by the time I got home. Suffice to say, there are a number of clues littered in my earlier posts in this thread

Oooh - you are such a tease!!!
lol
Opel Monza?
You said not Vauxhall - you didn't say not Opel.
It ain't American and it will be quite thirsty on fuel.

I think secretly he has bought a Grosser but wants to spend a little quality time with it, polishing all the knobs and hoovering the interior with a Henry.

It won't be a car but an ornament in the shape of a car.

It is a British classic, I'll give you that. Just off to take a few snaps while the sun is out. "BRB" as they say.btcctroy wrote:Or a mini

Thinking, Cortina, Zephyr, Consul, and what that car was which is owned by James May in that challenge with the Grosser.....

Re: There's nothing quite like the excitement of buying a ca
It does leave the field open when the criteria is -
A British classic car,
Built in 1980,
With a V8 engine.
Made by someone other than Vauxhall / Opel.
Could be any of-
Morgan,
TVR,
Caterham,
etc....
I am sure all the run of the mill marques were mainly upto V6.
Rover SD1
Ford Granada / Cortina
