if you lost the dash bulb and the bag by changing the steering wheel for a decent one, I can't see any need to remove anything else like the ecu and wiring for it. it's all hidden aint it?

I changed my wheel for a Momo and unplugged the ECU but the light is still on. I'm just going to remove the bulb.

cavaliers are fine for airbag lights, just remove the bulb, i think cars from 98+ if fitted with an airbag must have the airbag light an it must go out

Simply remove the bulb,

And fit a non-airbag steering wheel.

If you have a passenger airbag, then you'd have to remove it and its front cover, and then fit the standard cubby hole above the glove box.

I was told the mot rules are changing that older cars that have safety systems fitted to it has to have them for a mot ie ash and air bags ? :scratch
