traders policy's

hi how do you go about getting traders insurance do you have to be a trader ? self employed ? etc just wondering the pro's and con's to a traders insurance policy to a normal one cheers :scratch

Basically ye, you need to be in a trade, so self-employed. Depends on the policy really but say for example you're a mechanic, a trader's policy would cover your own and your customer's car/s up to a certain value.

You will also find that allot of traders policys won't cover you on anything sri, gti, gte etc etc..

There not daft the trader companys they know why you want it.

I looked into it. Ideally You have to record the part time business, It can be anything mobile mechanic/welder buy and sell etc. You don't need premises either but it's in the event of a claim when they do there digging and quite often refuse to payout if your not legit
