Camping in the Cavalier tonight.

Post by Cavalier342 »

WAY too hot to sleep inside tonight, the temperature here in Dorset isn't falling below +21 Celsius.. So the next best thing... With a lovely thunderstorm coming up, the air smells humid and I have made a temporary camp in my auto hatchback... Before anyone says anything.....I am simply having fun and making the most practical use out of my hatchback.... It's amazing really considering how small these cars look compared to new cars when parked side by side, yet when you look inside newer cars, it looks like you can barely fit a handbag inside.. While in my auto however I can stretch from head to toe.... Needless to say, this is practicality!!!!

The sunblind is there for the morning.... It;s daylight now at before 05:00 so I don't want to wake up early LOL.

Stills from video, not actual photo shots, that would be tricky!!! Still here camping out, so much cooler than my room and with all the benefit of watching mother nature!

Do you know the ironic part? My camera has better video quality than my phone but no microphone.. I drop the windows but my phone has no video quality..... That really annoys me so I have to resort to taking stills from my videos.... Still it;s a hell of an adventure and I'm not sweating my balls off doing it :D :D

Thanks dude. I love storm chasing/filming, it's awesome!! But kind of pissed off that I haven't got a proper camera, seeing all the proper shots that people have taken, and the only thing I can get are stills from low resolution videos.. But hey, make the most of what I got :thumb

Recently to help with shifting boxes while moving house I took the rear seat backs out (left the lower bench) to increase room. I did think to myself I could probably sleep in there quite easily with all the room... this thread confirms it! Haha :D

I can honestly respect that..... You'd need a seriously decent camera for that. I could try but in order to the the shot I'd have to guess 2 seconds in advance.... I'm gonna have to camp over your place at some point!!!!

Sod it!! Right, well as this sodding heat isn't sodding off, I'm going to camp in the hatchback again for tonight and maybe tomorrow as well..... Should have done it yesterday but made the mistake of not bothering, ended up watching Green Street until well past 01:00 (which was awesome) then realized it was still too hot to sleep :wall So sod this, I'm sodding off to the Cavalier tonight.........

Who knows what happens after 8 cans of Scrumpy. The tailpipe has fallen off the car recently but that's down to corrosion.... :p

Evolution leads to unused parts shrivelling and dropping off.... You can guess the rest.

Can't stand the stuff.... The only time I ever drank it was when my father in law poured me one after I told him I was going to marry his daughter, lol
