Cavalier F Reg needed for Filming ??

Post by NickSRi »

Hi All,

My pold car has been requested by the BBC for a documentary about the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989.

My agent is trying hard to find STANDARD (i.e 1.6L etc) cars of that era. Any colour apart from white.

Does anyone here have a Cavalier that old and is availble for filming between February 3rd & the 8th ?

The Filming venue is at Hillsborough in sheffield. The BBC will require the car for one full day.

You will be paid to attend with your car and all expenses paid.

PM me if you can help out.

Thanks Nick

What a great opportunity for someone. You could take my Cav and chuck different plates on it if you like? It's a facelift Turbo but 99.9% of the population would have no idea! 8-)

Can you email me a pic, making of your car look as 'standard' as it can... Like a normal everyday late 80's family car?

Your right about the face lift, after all mine falls into that category, and they are simply giving it an F reg plate.

Don't forget if you get the work you will need to be available all day on one of the February dates.

Will PM your my email addy :D

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

Bit far away from me anyways. Even if I did manage to sort my hatchback out, it's too far to drive realistically.

Really? Can they afford a high-class hooker and a pool table? Wow that's 5 star.. :thumb

On a serious note though, it's out of my way a bit

Gone as dead as a door nail.... The Agent has expressed the request has now is a 'red stripe' and not a yellow stripe ithats spec'd on mine. Therefore its probably the case where another supplier has won the business as they would need to cover and replace the one on the Cav.

If they move to another supplier, that would be most likely do the same for the prop vehicles required..

Annoying that originally they said they wanted it, now it looks like it's not the case..

Thanks for all your responses guys and your help. The members who sent in pic's will be kept on file with 'Action Vehicles' so if anything else comes up in the future I will let you know.

To be precise though, I haven't had the official no. Documentaries have a habit of being last minute, or moved on to a different date etc.. If there's any news, i will be in touch
