That website has been proven to be incorrect on quite a few occasions with a number of different cars.

Its hard to prove whats still alive but offroad and whats been broken for spares. It will give you a ballpark figure but I wouldnt take it as gospel

Ye, I tried that site before, the problem is it's really pedantic..... I.e. you have to type in the exact model and sub-model, plus exact year and engine etc to get the right info. I.e. putting in Vauxhall Cavalier LS comes up with X amount... Putting in 1992 Vauxhall Cavalier LSi 1.8 auto would give a lot less results... It's a matter of preference I think, as it only depends on what you put into the search...

iirc from previous tinternets discussion it takes the info from the V5, i.e exactly what is written on it, some of which is copy/pasted straight from some dozy dealerships secretary scribbled fax etc. years ago.

As they guys say, it may not be spot bollock, but gives a fair idea of the score.

I am sure when I enter the exact details for my cars, the red cav coming up with like 4 left, 2 taxed in the country, may include mk2 1.6 cav L auto 5 doors too as well as mk3. some others have (A) in them too, pointing towards auto ones, who knows.

what always amuses me is how rare all 4 of my cars are and I'm using the rarest for everyday ragging to work!

DVLA will know of every registered vehicle in the country but telling you over the phone without charging you is another thing You know what they're like......

The beeding for the door moulding you can still get from Vauxhall, Autovaux and GPS
