Post by Cavalier342 »

Hi all :) just wondering.. i own a 1.8i Cavalier LS, and when the engine is warm and i drive at low revs, specifically 1100 rpm, there is a rattling noise coming from the engine, but only at those revs and only when its warm. if anyone can help then thank you :) andy

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

Hey fella, you need to give a little more info... is the rattle happening under throttle or idle in which gear/s

this is a question better asked in the engine forum so I've reopened this in there

ok sure. well its an automatic, so any gear really, and with a tiny bit of throttle but only between 1000 and 1200 rpm. any other revs or idle speed, it sounds perfectly normal. i just changed the oil a few days ago and started noticing that rattle a bit more.
