Satin Red, like you say it was on MIG!
or, leave it alone! looks awesome as is.
Save your money.... make it handle, stop and go better, cheaper than a paintjob. Cav is then perfect.

I have the time to do it, I just haven't got the flipping energy or motivation in this sodding Sahara season we seem to be stuck in :wall :wall Can't sleep, can't be outside for long, too hot to drive anywhere, it's beyond a joke.... But anyway enough moaning, I will bring a few spares to the event...

I presume reversing the throttle cable means routing the cable in the other direction, so it hides itself behind the throttle body, and flipping the butterfly valve over? almost, i think. didnt see my buddy do his,and it's a Nova LET so he has a slotted spacer with a std Nova cable, but he's "...

Ought to fit a cam belt cover or it may not last long. Although it may be there in the 2nd pic. can't see really.
Benn has reversed his throttle cable on his LET, maybe do that as it always looks lost across the plug cover etc.

Re: cooling fan switch?
not coming on at all? even when uber hot on the gauge?
not sure if you have a 2 speed cooling fan, but has it got a white ceramic resistor near the battery screwed on the inner wing with a little alloy bracket?
if so maybe that has blown? quite common.

The Dippy Xe does 38 mpg average, pretty well most times I fill it, 44 mpg overall was the best tankful IIRC, 47 when it was a 2.0 NE. The Auto 16SV was doing 36-37 mpg average, sorted a few niggles on it and it's going miles better lately, last time it popped out a 39 mpg one, 500 miles on that one...

iirc, factory immobilisers are built into the key and around the ignition switch on late ones like that. if u have a tear drop shaped thing dangling from the keys which u have to shove in a hole in the dash or waft near a sensor, thats an aftermarket (and sometimes well shonky causing problems) immo...

iirc from previous tinternets discussion it takes the info from the V5, i.e exactly what is written on it, some of which is copy/pasted straight from some dozy dealerships secretary scribbled fax etc. years ago. As they guys say, it may not be spot bollock, but gives a fair idea of the score. I am s...

Re: Anyone had experience if this universal size cover fits?
I have been using a 'large' sized cover from Halfords which I have found fits my saloon quite well. About £65 I think. ditto that. had a (L) one from halfords, perfect fit on a saloon and seems fine on the hatch too. elastic bit goes round the front well and I use some clamps on the back bumper bot...

pull sprung loaded tensioner with a long 15mm open ended wrench, as access is bad iirc. seem to recall tensioner has a hole to pop a pin in to hold it slack if required, draw sketch of route of old belt! especially if u have AC change by supporting the engine, removing the engine mounting, pop onto ...
