Re: Boot carpet wet
Also check the sunroof drain hose (Probably the hose mentioned above) Don't forget also that during this wet period of the year there is a greater prevalence for condensation to form Saloons appear to suffer this to a greater extent...depends on trim level and the relative amount of insulation / fab...

Re: TO ALL CAV DRIVERS
It's not just us Cav drivers, In 2004 and 2005, my cav was driven into TWICE whilst I was stationary.. First by a recovery truck and then by an Omega driven by a drunk. I've got a new front end due to them both... In essence there are a lot of brain-out balloon heads out there on their moby fones or...

Re: My old car- please help
I have checked the DVLA site for you... The car was indeed only taxed until Nov 2004. It is not declared as SORN, which it would legally have to be if it was taken off the road (since 1995 I think). It MUST be assumed that the vehicle has therefore been scrapped..probably in 2004 at the time of &quo...

Re: front bumper
There are several screws and two bolts holding the front bumper on. There are plastic wheel arch liners that need to be unscrewed from the bumper...at least two or three screws on each side. Check underneath each corner as there may be plastic panels held on here via a couple of self-tappers on each...

Re: Central Locking System
The relay for the central locking is behind the kick panel in the drivers footwell. It is a large black block with the wires going in from the bottom and is held on by two screws. It is a control unit not just a single relay... Sometimes removing fuse 17 (20 Amp yellow fuse) and then re-inserting it...

Hi from a new member
Hi All, I am the owner of a relatively tidy 1994 Cavalier 1.8Lsi with nearly 207,000 miles on the clock...mostly by me since December 1995. I have fitted front fog lights, blue LED dashboard, illuminated vanity mirrors, map lights, rear illuminated grab handles, tow bar and electrics, Trip computer,...

Re: interior light + ilum sunvisor + rear map lights wiring?
I have fitted all of the above and will soon be rearranging it all again to install Omega full closure sunroof. A switched live can be taken from terminal 61 in the connector block in the passenger footwell...there are threads (on VXON I think) that will explain this. I ran a wire from here to my va...

Re: digi dash Information
I know that this is a very old thread, however I have recently started to modify an Astra GTE digi dash (later style with curved rev counter not torque tick)...however on mine there are two little red slider switches identified as S1 (switch 1). Can I assume that one is for 8v and 16 valve options a...
