Re: Coilover Spring Rates
Ideally you need to find measure the corner weight of each corner.
Also need to measure the unsprung rate. There is much info and calculators online
Really depends on the engine you are using

Re: 93 Cav LS - Cav Number 3 (This one will will get finishe
Cheers, it's joggled as neither Wayne or I like butt welds where they can be avoided, slightly less chance of panel warping that way too. i have to disagree, a joggled join is stronger. There is more material to weld so more ampage is needed, this could easily distort panels. horrible unwelded flan...

nice work!
did you do a joggle join on the sill.
a butt weld would of looked tidier if I'm being anal

clown garages.
ive done hundreds of brake pipes and never had a leak.
I find it amazing.
probably worth a complaint to VOSA about the mot that the garage carried out. although It will mean paying for another mot

Re: My 46k 2.0 LS Cavalier
as there was a change on the facelift they fitted a heavier type flywheel to help with emissions.
as a result the clutch could not be changed the traditional way.
the gearboxes were made with the omission of the access panel and sliding shaft

Re: V6 flywheel
certainly improves things as far as throttle response, takes the feeling away of being a heavy slug.
it will compromise the smoothness of the engine though and may feel the typical v6 dip in the revs more

Re: Over heating problem
IF it;s been flushed one way then the other, I wonder if the heater matrix has got some kind of blockage. I'd be tempted to bypass the heater matrix and see if that makes any difference. The heater matrix is fine. It does a good job of cooling the coolant as not to overheat the engine. Its thermost...

Re: M Plate 1.8LS Saloon
The filler neck is tricky to mend properly. I had to cut the whole lot out to gain access to repair the inner arch. I could then repair the filler compartment on the bench. I did it this way to ensure all the rust had been removed for a long lasting repair. Good effort with the repairs, if your plat...
