Re: Mikes 2.0 Gls
Congrats on the clean MOT pass. Personally I would keep hold of it after that. Only sell it if you can find someone who you know will look after it. Yup that is one of my concerns tbh. Some may remember my mate James who had the modded Cav Turbo that came to a few meets, well he sold it on for it t...

Re: Mikes 2.0 Gls
a nice Sportage van shouldn't cost that much and has loads of room of speakers/junk/etc - it's something I've been looking at... My boss has a new ish Sportage, very nice in fact.... Hoping my workmate remembers a trolley jack today as local garages seem bloody useless at finding what is wrong, thi...

Andrei neither owns a Cavalier nor a car at all to my knowledge!James McGrath wrote:Anyone heard anything from Andrei?
He's been very quiet recently.
I employed him some time back and he messed me around so we haven't spoken since and that was some months back so doubt you'll see him around

Re: Lowrider Dave - 1994 GLS (Archer)
Good to see you're still plodding on with Archer :) John suggested to me your fuel smell problem could be some holes even minute ones in the top of the fuel tank under the boot floor, he had the same issues with his Cav and swapped the tank out to have no further issues ever since. As for the Roose ...

Re: Mikes 2.0 Gls
A simple fix then with a good result. As for your milage last month my Cavalier don't even that in the course of a year. :o Greig Simple I guess but expensive, its cost me in excess of £150 in parts to get it running properly again! Would love to get a smaller car for work and keep the Cav for show...

Re: Mikes 2.0 Gls
So I forgot to update this, blame the Cav.......Too much fun  Last month final fuel / mpg usage was 363 before I put quarter of a tank back in as don't like the red light, after the 1/4 was put in she did 420 ish before resetting the trip counter. This is one car that definitely needs a jolly u...

First meet I ever attended was Rownhams but as its managed on CCTV Parking and a strict time limit its not a great place for meets, I think at least one person got hit with a fine by the parking police there Portsdown hill is a fair drive from Bournemouth and i did prefer Cadnam but hey it gives me ...

Forgot to add.... Temporarily made up a inlet to ICV pipe from an old ICV L shape pipe, fits well but plan to measure most of the pipes and replace with silicone given time and money Also the plugs are still to be looked at but shouldn't cause any fueling issue as they are brand new, plans to waxoil...

Re: Mikes 2.0 Gls
Nope, no need to pull any fuses, just pop it off, some fuel will escape, if you're on a surface that you don't want fuel to leak on to, just have a small bowl handy to catch it. Tip the filter both ways once you've undone the hoses to get all the fuel out. Cheers Andrei, captain top poster to the r...

Exhaust fixings
Guys, I have to rebuild the exhaust system on the Cav and as a mate has access to ramps we are going to do it in his workshop but he has asked I get the Clamps and Gaskets and have no idea how many I will need. I am presuming there is a gasket between the 2 parts of the manifold, one pre cat and one...
