i wasnt sure if the ecotec would have a different fuel preasure pump to mine as mine is an 8v.if it is the same i will just leave it.

cheers.can i use that petrol tank and just take out the pump and use my own or would i have to change the tank.the tank on it is new and mine is old.

fuel pump problem.

hi there.can anyone tellm where the fuel pump is on a 2.0 ecotec cavalier.its a n reg saloon.on my cavi sri which is a H reg it was on the chassis leg.as im only using the n reg shell to reshell mine id like to keep it as original to mine as possible.

so far iv found some surface rust.ill have to weld a few holes in the boot where the tow bar has been bolted to.all in all good shell.

heated seat loom..HELP

hello folks i hope someone can help me.i have heated leather seats in my 1990 sri but they are not connected.i have checked for the plug under the carpet and they are in the car but i cant find the plugs for the heated seat switch on the dash.will my car have these and where are they located.. thanks

well i started the strip down on the new shell today.bear in mind thin cavi was complete and in good condition when i started.all im getting is the rolling shell.nothing else and i mean nothing.here are a few pics of the car before and during strip down.only engine/gearbox/doors and boot to go now.

i got it from a scrap yard.its a 2 litre ecotec with a knackered engne.told the guy i only wanted the bare shell and that id give him my bare shell plus £150 and id strip them both so gona go strip it tomorrow.ill post pics of the strip down.

great result today.picked up a n reg cavi saloon shell for £150.result.only thing is.....i have to strip it down to a bare shell myself..pics to follow.

well after a few days of hard thinking and much smacking with a hammer i have decided to continue with the rebuild.the only hole that got bigger after a smack was the one in the boot and its not that bad,gona crack on with the welding tomorrow.does ne1 no where i can get a replacement petrol filler ...

well iv found more rust ahd holes on the old cavalier so now in 2 minds on weather to reshell or keep goin.i expected some bad bits as its an h reg but its gettin beyond a joke now.

thanks.still got loads to do but ill get there in the end.not that bad for rust really.drivers floor pan.3 bits on the floor.os arch and sill still to do.

si far iv cut off the old arch and sill and replaced them.iv alsi stripped out the interior and found minimal rust appart from the drivers footwell.
does anyone know where i can get a replacement floor pan from?
