thanks.im doin it bit by bit.also am doin it in my garden.the shell is solit with only a few holes where the fuel lines clip to the floor to be welded.will hipefully cet the underside stripped and painded in the next few weels.

another quick update on my cavii sri resto.between last year and getting the gsi (plus shite scottish weather) iv not had much time for the old girl but made a start on her the other day.hopefully weather will get better and ill get more done.

the 4x4 light is sometimes off and sometimes on.
when the light is on my windows dont work and when the light is off they do

just a quick update.
the misfire was down to the dizzy.got replacement and all is well.
got another question tho
what does this unit do.it seems to be power steering related
and where can i get a replacement from coz mine is leaking.

iv been told that aswell as the distributor my car has an electronic dizzy somewhere.also my rad fan has been bridged and is running all the time.could this cause a misfire?

iv still not sorted the miss yet.
i tried a mass airflow meter from my pals and unplugged the lambda but still the same.was worse when i unplugged the lambda.
had my mate check the fuel preasure and he says its ok.
can it be the dizzy itself?

all been changed.it seems to miss more when it warms up.
where do i go next.
i think the oil cooler mite be leaking oil into the water.would this cause a misfire?

thank god i have u guys to ask questions to.lol.am i right in thinking that the fuel filter/pump is located on the n/s/r of the car next to the chassis leg.

hi.just another quick update.iv just changed the dizzy cap/leads/rotor arm also stuck £20 of fuel in and still no joy.still missing under load.do you think a fuel filter is in order as car sat for 6 years.it idles fine and drives.its only when you put the foot down thai is misses.can it be a cam sha...

yeah am selling it but needs to run right.iv only tried plugs so far.im gona try leads/cap/rotor arm tomoro.just wondered if u guys thought it might be something else.im not too clued up on the redtop engine.lol

can anyone help me please.iv just bought a gsi 4x4.it idles fine bit misfires under load.the car was garaged for 6 years until recently
iv changed the plugs but this didnt help
its a 2 lirte redtop sfi
