Got the gti back together today and started up.replaced the awkward bolt with a longer hex head bolt and spacer, took about 30 secs to tighten up, simples.

850 miles covered in 3 weeks and all running well.

The last 3 rwyb days at the pod have gone, didnt go to any as the weather looked iffy at all of them, will have to wait til next year now.

Engine running ok,slight fuss with the fan and electric coolant pump,see post in electrical section.

Since getting the V6 back on the road,the auxiliary coolant pump and fan seem to run on after the engine is switched off.I know its supposed to do this to prevent heatsoak but it doesn't switch off and also the engine isn't that hot. I tried disconnecting the two stage fan switch on the rad and also...

Was reading the info on here, but I don't think the Cav V6 is correct regarding bore diameter.i measured my spare wheel at 65,same as zafira,signum etc?

Do vectra c, zafira rims fit?im looking to change my 5 studs rims aswell.

I have insured both the Cav and 206 GTI with Greenlight on the same policy,I can swap between either with just a phone call,no charges for swapping.
