Ive got 195/60/14s on my cav on the alloys I got it with and I only ever use uniroyal rain expert tyres the grip in whatever situation

Anyone know if a 2litre 8v exhaust centre section is the same as the 1.8 8v centre section? Are they different bore sizes etc

It was a 1.6 8v artic but I blew the gearbox and replaced it with one from a 1.4 corsa which made it accelerate like a jack rabbit on speed then I blew a hole in the 4th piston so I have now got the c14se that was originally with the gearbox but thanks to it being an artic the front drivers engine m...

Ah ok so my mk3 astra would be a tech1 then being a '97 I always thought it was tech 2 for that. Ah well computers lose me now used to be alright with them.

The worst i had was emission,s. Bloke in the garage was very good. They have to be under 3 on the scale right. Well mine were off the scale. The good thing bout the cav,s is the little fuel screw behind the manafold. Turn that out , a little forte, warm the rngine & away to go, What what what?!...

Can I not reset the airbag by disconnecting the battery for a while? I really haven't got the money for a garage or mobile mechanic to reset anything

Yeah ok if that small wire is for voltage control then that would make sense that its over charged the battery. Its a long story as to why it was disconnected but basically the alternator was from my astra and I had issues with the losing of the sort for the small wire so that connecter was bodged s...

Both good points but its a zero maintenance battery and how would it have over charged if the alternator was disconnected?

Ive been spotting alot more vectra's about aswell I still prefer the old skool looks of the cav though. Bit of a change of subject but what wing is that on your cav in your avatar I think ive spotted you in cambridge near the pub that has the speed camera near it and the double decker in its car park.

My worst mot so far was the last one my cav kept failing on emissions so I changed all the ignition system for new stuff cos of a miss fire and still failed the emissions so then changed the intake gasket which cured the missfire but the emissions were still failing then had her fail to start so sus...

That makes me feel better cheers. Im fairly new to the area. I've been here about 18 months now and have had my cav for about 15 months so im still looking for new people to chat cars with offline aswell as online. So come on someone spot me lol
