Re: Matts CDX - Work In Progress.
Yes, the barrels can be stripped down and the tumblers switched over. As its the internal part of the lock assembly you're needing most you can use pretty much any locking assembly ignition barrel and simple use your original outer piece. It would be a good time to re-lubricate the barrel (some kind...

That's great Rob, aye, definitely after market panels but not the worse pressings seen and as you said - better than the grotty panels. Hope they get fitted as planned and the cav sees the open road again soon

Re: Good Old Fashioned Pub Grub
Aye, I miss the good old pub grub, majority of the pubs that did reasonable food closed round here, (priced I mean). As for trendy places, they need to stop, having food served on a bloody roofing slate is frustrating... Good old steak and ale pie, with chunky chips and a good coleslaw.

Re: Why are interviewers so rude?
I'm finding when you ring Call-Centres, Customer-Contact-Services etc. that the person you end up talking does not have the maturity or experience, intellect, to distinguish your use of the word 'you' to them, referring to the company, organisation, council or whatever, in criticism of their polici...

Gender (apparently, there is more than 2?) Sexuality Oh Gary, Have you not heard of the Unicorn system for youngsters (and students) to identify their own sexual identity.? It all seems like pandering to a dysfunctional society's need to belong, and teenage angst regarding identity on a psychologic...

Re: Why are interviewers so rude?
Firstly congrats on the good news and offer to your wife. Secondly, risks sometimes have to be taken though I do hope the offer isn't a conditional offer and has been received in writing at least? Either way, my current job (14 years, 2 promotions on) was born out of being utterly fed up, and taking...

Measure thrice, drill once. I didnt get mine lined up perfectly and it caused a slight twist on the bonnet. It is great for servicing, but they can get in the way if you need to do anything timing / auxiliary belt wise.
But yeah, dooo it.

Last renewal (Oct2023) it was up by about £17 on the Yaris. It's somewhat frustrating. But not as bad as some of you guys!

For me, it would be crimp and a drop of solder with liquid 'heatshrink' painted over anything that doesn't need to be left exposed. but otherwise it looks much better than the first picture.

Re: My VERY RUSTY VW T25 Camper Van Project
Do it now, whilst its fresh in your head and before you get other things fitted. That would be my thoughts. It's then ticked off, and removes any doubts about connections later if something goes finicky, or just don't work as expected later down the line. You owe it to yourself to make sure you're h...

It's one of those things, but yeah at the time of inspection it was fine. Cars are meant to be used at the end of the day.
Glad you're relieved its back and hopefully the rental can go back ASAP if it hasn't already.

All good, though in fairness you've been nursing that clutch for a good number of years now, so it's all swings and roundabouts there. Thing is, a cosmetically good example and a mechanically good example are probably not going to be the same vehicle. I did some ebay hunting the other night and yes ...
