Re: M-Reg Cavalier saloon--Ignition Keys.

theres little point in swapping the chip if youve already lost the key with the chip in it, this kinda makes the whole point of having a spare key useless.

ok thanx everyone we will just take it that the key is probably chipped. what a pity we can't get it tested somewhere.

Re: Don't Laugh "Parking sensors on a Cavalier saloon"???

Still haven't got around to fixing these flammin sensors yet the 1.8 is in such good condition (and the weather has been so very cold) I am worried about not being able to get the supplied core drill bit through the rear bumper (the possibility of there being a huge steel box section behind the rear...

used to hate Mk3's back in love wiv cavs

4x4 road cars can be unpopular as the maintenance can be a nightmare, good luck selling it though, personally i can't see the point unless someone wants to rally it.

Re: Argh...........(delete expletives)

Envoycdx, the Mk2's used to have shims on the outside edge of the brake pads but many people never put them back or they were lost over the years, it might be benificial to ask a main dealer if the car would have had these shims fitted when the car was new. a good dealership may have a schematic dia...

Re: heater matrix

Diploma se, I agree it sounds a little more like it, the matrix usually goes very slowly with a small hole creating little moisture if any under the carpets, in retrospect it may not be the matrix that is the problem. regards oojimmyflip. ps it sure solved our mobile sauna effect though and our carp...

Re: mickey mouse humping sounds from my interior blower

I wouldn't lubricate the bearings your likely to short something out and it won't work again esspecially if you use a spray lubricant(WD40 etc) the motor needs to be dry to run smoothly, it could be that the brushes are getting low and loose in their mountings hence the sqweekiy noise it sounds very...
